First Solo Show!

Yes! A milestone in any budding/starving artist's career- their first ever solo gallery show!

I had my opening reception tonight.. and while not too many people came, the one's that DID come were amazing and generous and people I love dearly!

I've sold quite a bit already and have several commissions ready to be drawn! So exciting!

Even though it's a small start, it was, and still IS, a great feeling to look on every wall and see a piece of your artwork hanging!

And the greatest feeling in the world is knowing that God's hands are working in all of this - that it's all a part of a much bigger plan than I. He is bringing me all of these amazing opportunities this year to truly make my dream come true - bringing the Gospel to the Japanese people!! I know I will earn all of the money that is needed and THEN some.

Also - the super sweet Elise blogged about me today - how cool is that?! She is so kind and supportive! I am truly blessed!!

Love,
Amy

One show down...

..and one more to go! (Well, in the month of May, that is..)

Not Your Grandma's Craft Fair was such an amazing success!! I am so dang proud of my dear Jillian and am so thankful to her for letting me be a part of her baby! Can't wait to do it again.

(my fiance as our designated "Grandma" for the day. He stood outside the gallery and "knitted" and waved his heart out to passerby. What a guy. And yes, that is a mop on his head.)

Now onto my first ever SOLO ART SHOW at the Louvre Salon & Spa!!!

God is so so good - I went to price everything today and sold 2 pieces while I was there!!

I know my mission trip to Tokyo is GOING to happen, because God is faithful.

Now I'm going to give my man a big hug - he has been out of town all week and I get to see his adorable face tonight! I made him dinner... let's hope he likes it! : )

-love, Amy

ps: I haven't forgotten that I promised you all proposal details. They're coming soon, I promise!

pps: there ARE two new prints on my etsy!! Check them out!

Green Spring!

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Here's a little sneak peak at one of my new pieces! It is very citrus-y and spring-y and I just love it.

And because green and yellow go so very well together:

This flower was in our window sill last week and it was just too perfect for words. I tell ya, the treasures my mother pulls out of that garden of hers...

Tiny Blue Mushrooms

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

This is what happens when you find yourself locked out of your house for an extended period of time with a pen in your purse.

This *points up* is my tiny "clubbed thumb!" I am proud of it. I have two. : )

I finally got to purchase a wonderful little terrarium from The Science Faire!
I've been loving Autumns great work since she started selling them a few months back, and was happy to finally purchase one at the O'Farmers Market.

It was the little blue mushrooms that stole my heart. <3 <3

Until next time!
