Strange Folk 2011

Where did I go?!

Well I was planning for this little happening:

It was my 6th (6th!) year at the festival and it only gets bigger and better as time goes on - this year was no exception!!

Sadly I don't yet have pictures of this year's event yet - I had to borrow a friend's camera - so here are pictures from previous years!

2009:

This was back when I still did my felt accessories. This was also the first year I introduced any artwork (these were all originals).

It's funny to me how unprofessional this looks now, when at the time I was really proud of it!

2010:

Last year was the first year I felt like everything really came together. I had mostly artwork and was just starting to make some jewelry.

I was also getting married the following weekend (our anniversary is October 2nd!), so the fact that I accomplished anything was quite the miracle! : )

To everyone who came out to see me and supported me - thank you so much!! It's always such an honor to be a part of such a fantastic show!

Can't wait till next year!

p.s. I hope to get things stocked back up in my etsy shop by this weekend. I'll post here when it's open again!

Food Doodles!

Here are some food doodles I did while in Tennessee
(these are all things I got to enjoy on my trip!)

I love drawing food! YUM!

In other news we have officially turned the air conditioner OFF!! It is so nice and breezy and cool outside we don't even need it! The windows are open and fall is finally in the air!

The husband and I are going to enjoy a picnic dinner in our new backyard (yay for suburbs!)!

Harajuku Girls!

Happy Friday Night!
Me and the hubby just got back from a dinner/frozen yogurt date. That's the best kind of Friday night if you ask me!

I'm chugging away at new art for Strange Folk (it's fast approaching - eep!) so until I can share more of that with you, here are some doodles I did while in Tennessee.

------

I LOVE this blog - it's a great resource for all of the amazing fashion that comes out of Japan. While browsing I came across these girls:

HOW CUTE ARE THEY?! (And I actually own that same mini backpack! I bought it in Tokyo last December - so that was neat to see!)

And naturally I had to doodle her!

I had so much fun with her I had to do another!

These are so fun! I'm definitely going to do more! It's a good way to relax. : )

Hope you enjoy the rest of your evening!
