Daily Outfit Doodle // Christmas Eve and Day

Whew!
Our Christmas was a blast! Lots of family time, food, cookies, more cookies, Apples to Apples, more cookies..and most importantly time to reflect on what the day is all about - the birth of our Savior! I'm so blessed!

Here's what I wore over the holiday:

I was so excited to pick out a Christmas Eve dress..and after an hour or so at Forever 21 I finally found it! You can't tell in the drawing or the pictures, but the little white dots all over it are actually tiny white horses! How cute! And the mini peter pan collar! Be still my heart.

Christmas Day was spent in my pjs! Mom got everyone a new pair of pajama pants for our Christmas Eve present, so we could spend all of Christmas Day comfy cosy (and ready to get stuffed!)

*The face above and below I hereby proclaim "Amy's Christmas Face."

Some of my favorite things I received are: My leather hair bow from Red Velvet, tights in lots of colors from We Love Colors, and new workout clothes/shoes! What were your favorite presents?

I plan on posting allllll of the commissions I did over November/December in one post very soon so stay tuned!

Long Time No Blog!

Oh boy! Life got away from me again...to prove that I'm not being lazy here's some recent work I got to do!
These cute girls are Natalie and Hailey (who are students of mine), and their sweet puppy! Their dad asked me to draw the three of them to surprise their mom for her birthday.

...and this one was a lot of fun to do! Commissioned as a wedding present for Tyler and Joanna. They love going to Seaside, Florida (which is totally adorable!), so I wanted to incorporate that. I hope they liked it!

There will be much more to share soon! Christmas is a busy busy time!

P.S: Happy happy birthday to my super sweet husband!! Adam turned 23 today! <3

The Bakers!

I recently got to draw my dear friends, The Bakers, in front of their brand new home!

It was a surprise gift for Taylor from Blake for their 2nd wedding anniversary!

They are such lovely, kind and hilarious people - and I am so thankful to call them my friends! Love you guys!

Taylor is no stranger on this blog - she is the pretty lady who was kind enough to model my jewelry in the past!

(Not to mention she has the most amazing chest tattoo...ever)

Blessings to you guys and your beautiful new home!

p.s. I am currently taking commissions for the holidays, so if you have something in mind just send me an e-mail at: amy_hates_greenbeans @ yahoo dot com!

Daily Outfit Doodle // Fall Checkers

It's been quite a while since I've done a DOD! I was so happy to be able to take some nice fall pictures with my hubby last weekend. We took them at my parent's house before having an awesome bonfire night with oatmeal cookies and coffee and s'mores! If we would have taken these any later the leaves would not have been nearly as beautiful - so I'm glad we got them when we did!
(I just noticed I wasn't too careful this time around - I forgot to draw my glasses and my belt! I also had on other boots when I doodled the outfit - I ended up changing them to the black ones.. Oh wells!)

Hair bow // The Icing

Dress // gifted

Knee-high socks // Charolette Russe

Fall is so magical (it's also when we got married!). It's going away..and I'm going to miss it so much! I'm so glad I really took the time out to enjoy the season this year..I've had more bonfires and s'mores this year than I have my entire life!

I hope you've been able to enjoy autumn as much as we have!

Happy Halloween!

Adam and I are fortunate enough to have awesome Halloween parties to attend every year - which makes dressing up even MORE fun!

Last year was out first year as a married couple - and we were grass fed beef (which is very good for you)!

THIS year we totally rocked it as John the Baptist and his favorite snack, Locusts and Honey!
John's clothes were made of camel's hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey. - Matthew 3:4

The small patch around Adam's neck had more fake locusts inside (I also pinned one to the outside but you can't see it very well).

I sculpted the beehive out of styrofoam...

..and my locust wings were classic pantyhose over wire!

The locusts I made from little wooden craft ovals, paint, and felt (for the wings!).

It was a lot of fun to make!

And it was a great night with our dearest friends!

Happy Halloween! Stay safe!
