Changes!

Oh hi! It. Has. Been. A. While.

If you're still reading - thanks friend! You're awesome. If you jumped ship long ago, I don't blame you!

This season of my life has been full of change. Changes in my body, changes in my priorities, and changes in my heart as the Lord has been working in my life, stretching me and growing me. I'm getting so excited to meet my sweet baby girl. Only 8ish more weeks until she's here! Typing that is exhilerating and terrifying at the same time. I am so ready to meet her, but so much still needs to be done.

I just wanted to stop in and prove that I'm still alive and well, and that there will be a change here on my blog very soon.

After meeting Mary Engelbreit this past year, I began to re-work my brand/company and with the guidance and help of a few wonderful friends and aquaintances in the industry, am happy to finally share my new and improved portfolio:

My business will no longer be called Bunnies and Bows by Amy Rose, but just Amy Rose. Bunnies and Bows will remain a collection within my company. This allows me to be more experimental with my artwork. You know, get crazy. : )

You can go ahead and like my new page on Facebook as well!

That being said, I'll be keeping this blog and updating it as I always have (or haven't..depending on life. haha), but will be giving it a bit of a makeover soon.

Thanks again for sticking around! Life has been so full lately there's plenty to write about. Pregnancy is funny in that for weeks you will want to do nothing, and then one day you want to do all the things (like 7 loads of laundry, finally finish the portfolio you have been working on for 7 months, blog for the first time in aaaages, and stay up way past your bedtime to do so).

xoxo Amy

13 Weeks!

Hello! I thought it would be fun to post my first baby bump pictures and give you guys an update on my pregnancy!

There isn't much to see yet, but it's definitely there!

With my 2nd trimester beginning next week, my energy seems to be returning. I still need about 10 hours of sleep at night to function but I feel much more awake during the day! I still haven't had any morning sickness. I did have a few food aversions but those seem to be going away as well. So overall I've been feeling great! I've been staying active and have kept up my paleo ways of eating (for the most part as I've added in pastured/raw dairy products) which I think has really helped. I feel great knowing I'm doing everything I can to make my baby healthy and strong!

Two books I've been reading are The Nourishing Traditions Book of Baby & Child Care and Ina May's Guide to Childbirth. Both are full of incredible information and I highly recommend them!

p.s. I have some new art prints I'm editing today, and I hope to get those in the shop tomorrow, so keep a look out! : )

Hello Again!

I just wanted to pop in and say hi!

So many things have happened since we've last met.

I turned 24, I started the re-branding process for my business (you will see the changes soon!), I went to New York(for the first time!), my best friend got married...oh! Also this:

We're having a baby! My due date is in December and we are thrilled!

Life is still very busy, but I hope to stop in more often.

Happy Memorial day!

Oh So Quiet

So things have been a little quiet lately, and they will probably continue to be so for a while. I'm working like mad on getting my portfolio together before a business trip to New York in May. So until it is done and I am satisfied, most of my free time will be going towards getting it in tip top shape!

Thank you for your continued support and love! You guys are the best. See you very soon!

I Love Chattanooga Pt 2!

Here are some pictures from the rest of our trip! The Hunter Museum of American Art (or as the sign says, Merican..'Merica!) is a must see! My favorite part is the room with a view of the riverfront and paper and pencils for you to draw what you see. I definitely didn't follow those rules but it was so fun!
*Sigh*..until next time Chattanooga...you definitely own a piece of my heart.

On our drive home we picked up some dinner and wine and spontaneously decided to buy an antenna so we could watch the Oscars. It was a wonderful end to our trip (and our first time watching live tv in our apartment ever)!

Hope you all have had a great weekend!

I Love Chattanooga

We've been having a grand ole time in Chattanooga (our second home) visiting my husband's (and my!) family. They are the best! Today we are visiting an art museum and an awesome vintage store and I'm pretty excited about it! I've also been getting a bit of drawing done. I love our Chattanooga getaways. They are always the perfect mixture of relaxed family time and downtown exploring.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Here's my latest commission of two lovebirds and their happy family of four! I was so blessed to get to draw such dear friends of ours (Hi Karen and Brady!) and seeing their faces when they received it was the best! This might be my favorite commission so far..I've never drawn cats before so I loved the challenge!

Tonight Adam and I are going on a hot date to the grocery store ; ) Oh, married life. We decided to make each other homemade valentine's.. I'm so excited to get mine! I love it whenever Adam makes me cards!

I hope your day is full of love!
